URT SPF-1 (SWIM PADDLE FIN) // SIGN UP
April 29thThink you're good in the ocean? Yeah I bet you do cowboy. Well than prove it at the inaugural URT SPF!!!
You will be tested amongst your peers, in the traditional waterman/woman skills:
S = 500 m Swim (w/ no fins)
P = 3,000 m Paddle (Prone or Stand Up)
F = 1,000 m Swm (w/ fins)
The challenge will be held on April 29th at 9:00 (sharp) at Coronado, CA at the main lifeguard tower.
All competitors will have the option to compete solo or as a relay team. So choose wisely.
We will have some beachn' prizes, gifts, and a drop jaw event shirt.

April 15th!!You Dig, I Dig, He Digs, She Digs, WE DIG. That's right - we are hopping on a runaway train to China! Grab a shovel and steel your nerves, because things are going to get bumpy. (We are working on a song with those words)

You will have 15 minutes to dig as deep as you can go.

URT SPOOK "Night Surf"
Happy Halloween!!!
Get spooky with us at our first annual URT SPOOK. We will be lighting up the ocean with flood lights, rolling out the fog machine, grabbing our boards and paddling out in the black water of untold scariness. The event is completely free and anyone can come out and get their freak out on. We will also be selling our official URT SPOOK shURTs with a gholish surprise on the inside at the event. Surfers are encouraged to wear costumes, but not required.
When: Sunday, October 30th @ 6:00 PM
Where: Shipwrecks in Coronado, CA. Take Orange Ave down to Avenida Del Mundo and go west young man.

Lobster season is upon us!
Introducing the 1st Annual LOB OFF (Freedive Lobster Grab Contest)
When: October 23rd @ High Noon. Registration is at 11:30 SHARP on top of the staircase.
Where: Garbage Break @ Sunset Cliffs on Point Loma.
Prizes will be given for the diver who comes up with the Largest LOBster and the most Legal LOBsters.
All participants will receive the limited edition LOB shURT with registration fee. All contestants must have their fishing license and lobster card in order to participate. See you out there!
